Growing up in a family business means learning early on the value of hard work, dedication and strategic vision. Miguel Seijo y Seijo, second generation at the helm of Casa do Marquês, takes on the responsibility of leading the company with a focus on innovation and the rigour of the services provided.
A father of two, he balances his professional life with family values, believing that success depends on passion for what you do and the ability to motivate teams.
With a degree in Psychology, he specialized in Hotel Management at Les Roches School of Hospitality in Switzerland and furthered his knowledge of Business Management and Finance at ISCTE. His career reflects a constant search for knowledge, combining leadership with a deep understanding of people and business.
He believes that every event should exceed expectations and that it is always possible to reach new heights.
José Eduardo Sampaio and Florbela Bem
Founders Casa do Marquês
In 1989, José Eduardo Sampaio and Florbela Bem decided to challenge convention and transform the way events were experienced in Portugal. United by their passion for gastronomy and their desire to innovate, they brought Casa do Marquês to life, a project that quickly became a benchmark in the sector, gaining recognition both inside and outside the country.
José Eduardo, a former player for Sporting Clube de Portugal, brought the determination and competitive spirit of sport to the business world. Florbela Bem, with experience in the events sector, began her career at Páteo Alfacinha, an iconic venue that would later join Casa do Marquês. Together, they created a project based on high standards, creativity and the ability to exceed expectations.

Executive Chef
Humberto Santos is the heart and soul of Casa do Marquês' kitchen. With an established career in the national gastronomy sector, he leads a talented team in creating dishes that combine tradition and innovation. Under his guidance, Casa do Marquês' kitchen, one of the largest and most modern industrial kitchens in Europe, prepares thousands of meals every day with the utmost rigour and flavour.
Commercial Department
Casa do Marquês
The Commercial Department is one of the pillars of Casa do Marquês, acting as the link between the client and the company's multidisciplinary teams. Responsible for the development of the entire operation, it ensures that each event is planned and executed in a structured manner, in accordance with the client's expectations and in coordination with all areas involved.
Divided into two complementary areas – sales and production – this department ensures an efficient and coordinated process. The sales team manages the direct relationship with the customer, identifies needs, negotiates conditions and presents customized solutions for each event. The production team coordinates the execution, ensuring that all operational areas of Casa do Marquês work in harmony to carry out each project with rigour and efficiency.
